18th August -Glitter

Today's challenge is about all things that glitter! We want you to dig out your glitter, gems, sequins etc and make your layout as sparkly as you can!

Anna
In Bristol we have painted Gromits, we took my nephew Gromit Spotting and came across the very glittery Gromit which fits this challenge really well! I went with the gold to match the photo, using everything shiny or glittery!

Glitter is not one of my favourite supplies I have to admit - not because I don't like it, but because of the mess that it can create (you can ask my cat Lola - she decided to lay on my experiments with glitter and she was sparkling for some time!).
So this time I decided I wouldn't avoid it and actually I did enjoy it quite a lot. For the glittery background I used stencil, mod podge glue, palette knife... and of course glitter. I added a couple of details i.e. stickles on the cat-paperclip and rhinestones.

Daphne
Feeling a bit lost? For this challenge I really did felt a bit lost - but I am quite pleased with the outcome! I really love using glitter (especially in the colder months of the year) - don't get me wrong - as long it is not the loose version which creeps deep down into your carpet, in your hair behind your ears and underneath your fingernails to live there forever!
So I decided to go for the "safe" version: Glitter Thickers for the title and yellow and pink Stickles dots as accents! And yes, it is all on a boy's page - everything is possible!

Hilde
Don't be afraid to overdo the glitter & bling: I have used glitter cardstock, some cutouts with glitter, sequin trim, individual sequins, glitter trim, bling and Stickles

I love the resurgence of gold at the moment, so for the glitter challenge I used some Crate Paper Ephemera, and then made a little vellum pocket of sequins, as well as my glittered thickers and a some glittery stickles on the bunting!

Petra
I went wild with gold on this page with lots of help by the borders from the Vintage Finds collection by Teresa Collins. I also added some golden letters and stamped a golden rose. Altogether lots of gold and glitter.

Supply:
Teresa Collins Vintage Finds
Crafter's Workshop Mask
Stamp made using the Photocentric/Teresa Collins stampmaker
Distress ink from Ranger
Gold ink from You Do

How strange that most of us ended up using gold glitter!
